Vijai Singh Katiyar’s book launched

Vijai Singh Katiyar, professional designer and a senior faculty member at the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, India is also a member of the Policy and Planning Committee of NID. He has led and given impetus to a number of activities at the NID including outreach, education and international programmes. He is founder of the ‘International Center for Indian Crafts’ set up at NID. He has helped a number of business enterprises for domestic as well as export sectors, contributing strategic design, product development and diversification, and implementation in the diverse areas of design. Four national seminars and an international conference on design education, DETM 2005 are to his credit. He has authored several papers on design and served on the jury panels of design competitions.

His recent book “Indian Saris: Traditions-Perspectives-Design” was launched at Bangalore and Chennai on the 25th and 26th of March. The chief guests at Bangalore were Vani Ganapathy and Prasad Bidappa & Gowri Ramnarayan & Anita Ratnam at Chennai. The book launch got extensive press coverage in all leading dailies of India.

Think Design Collaborative, Hyderabad requires 3 Interns for an ongoing User Interface and Visual Design Projects.
